Positions Currently Available:
Postdoc
1: M.D. , Ph.D. or equiv. Successful applicants will
join a team of molecular and structural biologists, mechanical engineers, and
neuroscientists. Techniques used include, x-ray crystallography, electron
microscopy, e-beam lithography and chip design, as well as MEA analysis of
cultured neurons, Our goal is to construct a dynamic molecular and architectural
understanding of the chemical synapse.
Postdoc
2: Ph.D. or equiv. A position is available to study the structure and function of MARVEL domain proteins
and there role in neurodegeneartive diseases such as Alzheimer's. Applicant should have a background in protein expression and purification. Knowledge of EM
and X-ray crystallography is not required.
Postdoc 3. Ph.D. or
equiv. A position is available to develop novel methods for membrane protein
structural analysis. Applicant should have a strong background in membrane
biophysics, lipid chemistry and computational biology. Knowledge of EM and X-ray crystallography is
not required but advantageous.
Technician
1. B.A., B.S. or higher degree. Molecular biology skills, lab management.
Experience with maintaining transgenic mice colonies, dissection and neuronal
culture.
Technician 2. B.A. or B.S.
Molecular biology and protein purification. Experience with protein
expression, purification and characterization required.
